Ibanessa Soto Hogan

Masterpiece Accounting Services LLC (MAS) was founded by Ibanessa Soto, entrepreneur, educator, trainer, and advisor. With a strong passion for learning, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Public Accounting at La Universidad Technologica de Santiago (UTESA). Ibanessa moved to New York in 1997 to continue pursuing her spiritual goals and become a better leader.

At some point during her corporate career in the United States she discovered the huge gap that small businesses had in understanding their finances and their ability to use this information to make informed decisions, leading her to start Masterpiece Accounting Services in 2011.

Ibanessa is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a license granted by the Internal Revenue Service to tax professionals, holds a master’s in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Concordia University, is a Certified Business Advisor, and QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Prior to starting MAS, Ibanessa worked in the corporate world for 15 years as an accomplished professional, accumulating extensive experience in managerial accounting, financial analysis and reconciliation, and auditing. She held both junior and senior accounting positions in companies such as Coopers & Lybrand (currently Price Waterhouse Coopers), ThyssenKrupp Elevator/Dover Elevator, Frito Lay and Castle Oil Corporation.

Ibanessa, is passionate about helping her clients, especially spas, med spas and wellness businesses understand their business financial maze with clarity and expertise, and to navigate the complexities of running their organizations with confidence leading them through meaningful transformation and living a fulfilled life.

She is currently an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Monroe University in New Rochelle, a contributor writer for Pulse Magazine from the International Spa Association, a member of The Business Council of Westchester (BCW), of Toastmasters of Greater Stamford. 

Also, she serves on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of New Rochelle, a member of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

When she’s not consulting her clients on growing sustainable businesses and improving cash flow, she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, doing long walks, watching movies, listening to gospel songs, increasing her understanding of God alone and with other believers, and spending time with her son and relatives.

Loralyn Mears, PhD has held executive leadership roles in marketing and innovation for three Fortune 100s and several tech startups. Along the way, she’s launched dozens of products, startups, and Centers of Excellence. As a recognized author and National Gold Medal book winner, awardee from NJ Governor Murphy and the City of Philadelphia, Loralyn applied her tech experience and passion for driving sustainable change to launch STEERus. She’s determined to make workplaces less toxic, more productive, and to empower small business owners so that they can navigate uncertainty and achieve sustainable growth. As a social entrepreneur, she focuses on enabling underserved communities, particularly those with special needs through her nonprofit, HELPipedia, which is powered by the STEERus platform as the “Hub-for-HELP.”
